Presentation Project-Introducing Yourself in the Target Language

Have students upload a photo, outline the mouth, and record themselves speaking. Great for all levels - just give students the grading rubric with the criteria so expectations are clear. Check out Blabberize and try it out.

Free Tool for Creating Interactive Flash Cards, Activities & Games!

I learned about this tool recently from my friend, Kurashige Sensei at Mid-Pac. Have a look at a sample set of activities for a lesson on Spanish verbs, for example. Be sure to look at all categories, "Familiarize," "Learn," "Test," "Play Scatter," and "Play Space Race."

Spanish verbs

Also have a look at the demo that shows how easy it is to use.

iPods in Spanish Class

Listening and speaking practice using the iPods and iTalk attachment.

Using iPods for cloze listening activites - you can put the lyrics/script into the podcast so students can listen and read the text at the same time! Afterwards students read the script using iTalk and recorded for pronunciation practice. They then listened to one another's recordings and gave peer feedback using specific criteria.

This short presentation took me about ten minutes to put together - just uploaded a few photos from a recent trip and chose the music - Animoto did the rest! Give it a try!
